To ensure updated and relevant information throughout the health crisis, a number of government bodies key to managing the epidemic have established a communication partnership. The covid-19 National Communication Partnership is responsible for the development and operation of coronasmitte.dk, and for the planning and hosting of weekly press and authority briefings held at Eigtveds Pakhus in Copenhagen.
Users of coronasmitte.dk will find an overview of the current covid-19 situation, the latest news, reports, analyses and announcements from the Danish authorities, and current information about the advice and rules regarding covid-19 that apply in your municipality. Advice and rules appearing on coronasmitte.dk are based on the measures and restrictions instituted by the Danish authorities to slow the spread of infection and maintain control of the epidemic in Denmark.
To ensure a broad overview, as well as access to in-depth knowledge about covid-19, coronasmitte.dk also provides links and references to the websites of relevant Danish authorities.
The covid-19 National Communication Partnership comprises:
the Danish Ministry of Health
the Danish Patient Safety Authority
Statens Serum Institut
the Danish Medicines Agency
the Danish Ministry of Justice
Rigspolitiet – the National Police of Denmark
The Danish Critical Supply Agency
the Danish Ministry for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs
the Danish Business Authority
the Danish Ministry of Culture
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark
Other ministries and public authorities participate in the partnership as needed, and the partnership collaborates with other public bodies, such as municipalities, regions, etc.
The covid-19 National Communication Partnership and coronasmitte.dk are operated by the Danish covid-19 National Communication Centre, a temporary organisation based at Eigtveds Pakhus under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
